A set of cards depicting Chess pieces, and rules for 16 variants to play with them and a Chess set.

Components

In each of two colors (black and white)

• 2 King cards
• 2 Queen cards
• 2 Rook cards
• 2 Bishop cards
• 2 Knight cards
• 4 pawn cards
• 2 joker cards

That's 16 cards/side, for a total of 32 cards.

Karten Schach also comes with 12 black and 12 white chips, and a Chess set.

RainbowDeck card mapping

• Use the Chess mapping to assign cards to the pieces, one RD dice suit per side.
• Use 2 RD jokers with dark spots for the black jokers.
• Use 2 RD jokers with light spots for the white jokers.
• If you bought the recommended set of 25 chips in 6 colors to go with the Rainbow Deck, you can use 12 of two different colors for the Karten Schach chips.
• If you're caught without a Chess set, you can improvise one of those too, with two more dice suits and 32 random cards, as explained on the Chess page.
