Alex and Steve taught Nat and I Through the Desert, a Knizia classic. Then they proceeded to beat us about the head with a camel.

Edel, Stein, & Reich #2 and #3

Game: Edel,_Stein,_&_Reich?
Players: Nat D, Steve D, Alex R, Steve V

Steve D 36 40
Alex R 45 56
Steve V 46 55

Nat won the first game, so we had a rematch. Steve and Alex flip-flopped their 1-point-difference positions, but that was the only change in the order. No matter what I chose or how I chose it (reasoning it out, guessing what people might pick, or shuffling my cards and randomly picking one), I was constantly colliding with the other players and thusly I lost.

Poker x2

Game: Texas_Hold'em?
Players: Nat D, Steve D, Alex R, Steve V
Location: Parlor
Time: ?
Winner: Tournament 1: Alex R, Tournament 2: Steve D (sort of)
Prize: ?

In the first mini, no-money, limit Texas Hold'em tournament, Steve V and Alex R went at each other guns blazing early on. Amazingly, both were bluffing. Alex's hand was slightly better than Steve V's, so Alex won most of Steve's chips and had a large stack lead over the other players. Using his large stack, Alex skillfully bet all the time, sometimes convincing the other players to fold and other times winning in the showdowns, until he had it all.

In the second tournament, I went all in on a draw that never hit. Rather than sit around doing nothing, I took Steve V's stack (since he chose not to play the second time around), with which I managed to win a couple of large pots. I gave 1/3rd of SteveV?'s stack to the other players and continued my run, commanding most of the chips by the time Time kicked us out. So if you ignore the facts that a) I lost all my chips and b) we didn't play to a definite conclusion, I won the second tournament.
