Settlers of Catan

I can't believe it took until April 2003 for someone to make a page for this game. It's a fairly well-known game, so I'll forgo much of a description.

This was the first GermanStyleGame I ever played. Up to that point, I had mainly played war-simulations in one form or another, so I was initially confused at the lack of a means to invade and pillage settlements.

From this game I got one of my favorite quotes pertaining to the learning of a new game:
"There's some strategy to this, but for now just play."
