David likes to play empire building games like Risk 2210, Monopoly (with cosmic encounters powers), Rail Building (crayons and 18xx), Civ, History of the World, Age of Renaissance, Acquire, as well as the German-style games like Web of Power and Traders of Genoa. Also a Formula De race addict.

Boardgame Coordinator for the Dragonflight game convention held anually at Seattle University in August.

David also runs a play-by-mail game called Lords of the Earth, which he started in 1987.
