I recently learned (here)that there is nothing Chinese about the history of this game, that it is merely a 6-player version of the Victorian game Halma?.
The object is to move your pieces from one corner of the board to the other, which the/an opponent initially occupies. Pieces move one space at a time in any of six directions, or can make any number of jumps over neighboring pieces (enemy or friendly). Jumped pieces are not removed
