Spam

SPAM (aka spam) is an acronym for Self Propelled Advertising Media. Its practitioners are the epitome of evil.

Spam\x99 is an utterly evil tasting processed meat product. It comes in a can.

Cabbage

Ambrose Bierce, in The Devil's Dictionary, notes the following:

CABBAGE, n. A familiar kitchen-garden vegetable about as large and wise as a man's head.
The cabbage is so called from Cabagius, a prince who on ascending the throne issued a decree appointing a High Council of Empire consisting of the members of his predecessor's Ministry and the cabbages in the royal garden. When any of his Majesty's measures of state policy miscarried conspicuously it was gravely announced that several members of the High Council had been beheaded, and his murmuring subjects were appeased.

Cabbage tastes evil when boiled. Especially when it's boiled with Spam\x99.

I think "Self Propelled Advertising Media" is a Backronym (tm). Everyone knows the name came from the Monty Python skit, and was applied because of unsolicited commercial bulk email's similarity in the aspect of overwhelmingness.
