To clarify, I was talking about a Game of the Month, not a Designer of
the Month, as I think Mike Schoessow was as well.

The _Designer_ of the Month idea has its merits too, but repeating
game designers every so often with a _Game_ of the Month is not
necessarily a wholly bad idea. What if you design your really good
games AFTER you're profiled as Designer of the Month? Then the
piecepackpublic might miss out on hearing about your good games.
Also, repeating designers every once in a while via a Game of the
Month would allow designers to discuss changes in their lives and game
design philosophies.

Note that these ideas apply mostly to the Game of the Month idea
rather than the Game of the Week idea. If one of your games is
featured one week, then another game just a few weeks later, chances
are good you have neither improved greatly as a designer in those few
weeks, nor has your life or game design philosophy changed a great
deal.
