Re: traditional games



Im reading the tail end of this, but have enough to submit my 
thought that ties in.

I think the general question relates to "Translations" of games to 
the piecepack. I Myself have thought about this, as I have one game 
that I could "Translate" in 5 minutes... if everything was legal 
with it...  have to read the particulars on it... as I am not 
selling it, or making money off on the adaptation.

Anyway.  Can we not use the word "Port" as in:

"XXXXXX" by Joe Shmoe, ported to piecepack by John Q Piecepacker.

((In contrast, Joe Shmoes version would be "native"))

I have seen this used in the TI-Calculator Community for 
AMS/Assembly programs. 

I am sure others who will read this will have more to add to the use 
of "Port" and "Native"
