There are two separate issues here. Traditionally, the winner of one
piecepack game design contest gets to run the next contest, including
choosing theme, format, etc. I chose Group Projects because I thought
it would get people to work together. The entries are starting to come
in now, so I'm less worried now than I was a few weeks ago.

As for gambling games, there's no restriction on the current contest
as far as type of game or theme, only that it needs to be co-designed
by a group of at least two people. So if you and a friend (or several
friends) want to come up with a gambling game, it would be a very
welcome contest entry! :-)
