Re: [piecepack] Re: Rule Liecenses

Jorge,

It would be fine with Mike and I for you to translate Cardinal's Guards.

Hi,

I appreciate you letting me translate your games, and I've translated one
already :) but I'm not asking people to release their games as Public
Domain. A somewhat free license like the ones from Creative Commons that
let
people create derivative works if they are released with the same license,
would be fine. Even if a game has a non-commercial clause but it allows for
derivative works, I could translate it and post in on the net for free,
which is better than nothing...

I guess you're right about the vacations... I did "port" Froggy Bottom
because I remember that we tried contacting the author for a rule
clarification on SDG and it was quite difficult... and it's such a simple
game to explain that I though it'd be less work...

Anyway, if I can include about 4-5 games with the sets it might be enough,
so: Froggy Bottom and Penguin Game plus one solitarie (One Man Thrag would
be my choice or maybe Cardinal Guards) and Piecepack Letterbox could be
enough... I'd like to add a deeper game, but I'm not sure about which
one...
I see Pharaohs Heir has a GNU license... It may fit well...

BTW, Jonathan, I intend to do a domino set too. Do you consider Tariffs a
finished game? I see in the wiki that the game is in beta, but I don't know
if that information is still current...
