I would be that kid.
It just seemed so wasteful when there are many other things you could do
with the card that a) didn't damage it, and b) kept it with all of its card
friends so I could always find a set (deck of cards).
Then again, maybe that was just me...

I've never met a kid who decided not to clothespin playing cards
against his bicycle spokes because there were just too many hundreds
of other uses for the cards!
