Re: New Contest

A new contest is a great idea! Jorge's idea of having the contest
judged by the piecepack community, via wiki or similar, is also a
good idea.

Past contests were judged blindly which I think was important in
order to keep the judging unbiased. A new contest could be judged by
the piecepack community, blindly, as long as we used a middleman to
receive the contest entries, who would remember the authors, and then
post the game entry file onto the piecepack website. The game entry
file would describe the game but not include the author's name.
The middleman would simply need to pass on the game entry file (no
proofreading, modifications, or other time-consuming edits/tasks) and
keep track of which authors sent him which game files. Maybe we
could create a "current contest" folder on the piecepack website
where all members can view the game entries.

I know my idea is just a start, but what do you think?

P.S Jorge, I tried to post a response to your Cardinal's Guards
question from work today but it hasn't shown up. I will repost/fix-
the-problem and get my answer to you tomorrow.
